Words from Widget
![]()
Hello! My name is Widget (well, that’s what we’re going with right now - it may change). You see, I was a dumped doggie and just recently got this new home. I never had a chance to get a name before my first human (?) dumped me at the side of a road, starving and scared.
Now I have a new Mom (she said I could call her that), and things are getting much better. I can’t speak any human yet, but she’s learning my “dog-speak” very quickly. She’s had a lot of practice, ’cause there are other dogs here in the house.
I have taught her the “pick-me-up” cue, and the “hungry” cue, and we’re working on the “gotta-go” cue. For some reason, she thinks I need to go potty on the paper that she put down in the laundry room, but I’m trying to teach her that I’m a little boy dog, and I’ll go wherever I want to! We’ll see who wins that battle!
I don’t get to go back outside yet; there are two really big dogs out there that threatened to eat me for lunch if I don’t stay out of the way. For now, I am content to stay here and teach my new Mom how to tell what I want. I really want to be named “Killer” or “King” but she hasn’t figured that out yet, and I would prefer some red meat, or even chicken, but all I get is dog food. I guess I can put up with that, cause it’s better than nothing.
Back to the people who dumped me - I want to thank you for dropping me here, but I want you to know that you are a lousy human being.
That’s all for now! Watch for more words from “Killer” - - - - (or Widget).
You just have to be published . . . I look forward to every day and you just make me feel it, sucks me right in!!!! I laughed and cried a little on this one. You are awesome.
BTW, I think the class reunion is in June. More to come. Love ya
